Casual dining remains strong: Outback CEO

Bloomin' Brands CEO, David Deno, has rejected the idea that casual dining is fading away and instead says it offers a great opportunity for growth. Although quick service restaurants (QSR) gained in popularity during the pandemic, Deno has seen a return of dine-in customers, including millennials and Gen Z demographics, who miss restaurants.

 

Bloomin' saw its US off-premises business rise 23% in Q1, while its third-party delivery business remained at 12% over the past five quarters. Bloomin' is planning to grow its brands and new development, new channels of distribution, carryout, and delivery.
