Fast food's future arrives as a Florida Chick-fil-A pioneers exclusive drone delivery for local patrons.

Within a 1.2-mile radius of the Brandon/Valrico location, spicy chicken sandwiches and shakes soar through the skies, available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Partnering with DroneUp, the venture aims to expand to a 2-mile radius soon. Customers opt for drone delivery through the Chick-fil-A app, witnessing their orders lifted by drones and gently dropped at the destination.

Sealed drinks accompany the aerial feast. While testing is underway, the popular chain remains tight-lipped about the next drone delivery destination.
